Guildford Saints went into the
match one point above Horsley in the league positions.
In the first half Adam Pritchard
fired a shot from 20 yards which hit the post. Goalie, Henry Hope pulled off
a couple of good saves but a freak own goal put Horsley 1-0 up at half time.
In the second half, with the
wind behind them, Saints found their form and the passes became more
accurate. A shot from James Hartwell put the teams level. With 15 minutes to
go Rob Piatkowski picked the ball up from the halfway line and scored a
scorcher from 20 yards. Two minutes later Brandon Annett slipped the ball
through to James Hartwell who calmly increased the score to 3-1. All the
boys played brilliantly today. A special mention to Tymek Kolodzieczyk who
had his best game this season but had to come off with a cut to his knee.
